Specific Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide technical direction to the development and direct implementation of all project activities of the Programme.
* Prepare periodic work-plans, project proposals and ensure implementation of all approved project activities in line with the Youth Alive! Kenya Strategic Plan 2008-2012.
* Develop, maintain and expand strategic partnerships with relevant governmental and intergovernmental, non-governmental and private sector agencies for the support and sustainability of Programme activities.
* Facilitate public awareness and spearhead advocacy processes on human rights by Youth Alive! Kenya and its partners
* Perform legal assessment, provide legal advice and conduct pre-trial briefings to children and their parents/guardians within the Juvenile Justice Project;
* Provide legal representation to accused child offenders and abused children under the Programme.
* Provide legal advice and all forms of legal support to all our programmes and institutional engagements
* Assist in co-coordinating and organizing meetings, workshops and seminars related to the programme implementation and assist in the preparation of presentations of such workshops and meetings
