Internal Auditor (1 POST) JOB GROUP K”

Reporting to the director, successful candidate will Analyze, plan; manage and examine accounting process to ensure that effective financial service provided meets the government standards and the needs of company’s business

Academic Requirements and experience
a) Bachelor of Commerce degree Accounting /Finance option
or equivalent related degree
b) CPA(K)
c) Served as Auditor or a comparable and relevant position in
the public service or private sector for a minimum period of 3
years
d) Demonstrate outstanding professional competence,
leadership qualities and high integrity
e) Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors ( IIA) or
Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) an
added advantage
f) Age 30 – 37 years

Key competencies
..Thorough knowledge in accounting and auditing procedures
..Ability to plan and execute audits
..Hands on skills in relevant computer packages and
computerized management information systems
..Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

Duties and responsibilities
•Ensure that all the organization systems and process are efficient
•Internal control systems are adequate and that assets are efficiently
utilized and safeguarded
•Auditing the books of accounts and all payments vouchers for all
financial obligations before funds are released for payments
•Preparing annual reports
•Ensuring maintenance of high audit standards within the
organization and adherence to plans, budgets and work schedules,
ensuring compliance with existing regulations, instructions and
procedures in financial and other operation.
•Formulating and implementing annual audit plans
•Guiding the external auditors

Terms of service: Permanent
Salary: Ksh 26,323/-
Allowances:
House: Ksh10, 000/-
Medical: Ksh1, 250/-
Commuter: Ksh1, 800/-
