Evans Wadongo, a 24 year old Kenyan, used part of his student loan, and even skipped meals to set up the ‘Use Solar, Save Lives’ program through which his organization, SDFA-Kenya, designs, makes, and distributes solar lanterns to poor communities, AND helps the communities to set up small economic ventures from the money initially spent on kerosene.
Evans has been selected as a CNN Top Ten Hero due to his work. Voting is now online for him to win the prestigious CNN hero of the year.
You can vote as many times as possible at http://heroes.cnn.com/vote.aspx
Please, inform all your friends, family and workmates. YOU CAN VOTE EVEN A THOUSAND TIMES DAILY, TILL NOVEMBER 18TH 2010.
By voting, you will be representing thousands of poor women, men and children who have benefited from Sustainable Development For All’s work under the ‘Use Solar, Save Lives’ program, who are in poor rural communities with no access to internet.
