Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) is a state Corporation whose objective is to provide quality and sustainable customer focused financial services for the development of the agricultural sector in Kenya.

In order to achieve this objective, the Corporation seeks to recruit qualified and experienced professionals in the following areas:-

The job holder heads the Internal Audit Department and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. He/she is charged with the following responsibilities:-

Responsibilities

1.  Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the Internal Audit function and manages its technical and administrative functions;
2.  Develop and execute comprehensive audit programs for the evaluation of the management controls provided by the Corporation;
3.  Interpret and explain legislation, rules, regulations and procedures as applied and related to the auditing of programs and operations of the Corporation;
4.  Implement specialized auditing programs to assist management in the evaluation and control of program operations so as to maintain compliance to International Audit standards and conformance to financial requirements;
5.  Manage audit of all units and establishments of the Corporation, and determine scope of investigation required;
6.  Make reports to Management and the Board;
7.  Liaises with departmental heads to ensure audit findings and recommendations are implemented;
8.  Undertakes special audits as directed by the Board;
9.  Handles the performance management; supervision and development of staff within the Internal Audit Department;
10.  Undertakes risk management;

Qualifications

•  Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Equivalent from a recognized university
•  Masters Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field from a recognized university
•  CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent
•  Computer literacy is a must for the position
•  Certified ICA will be an added advantage

Experience
 Ten (10) years experience at a senior position in a relevant and comparable institution/field
