Our client is a major manufacturer of leading beverage brands, the Company also sells Still Beverages thus meeting the diverse needs and preferences of consumers all over the world.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will lead the development of systems and assigned personnel to improve the effectiveness of engineering and maintenance services to achieve continuous improvement in plant reliability and operating results.
The Engineer will work to continuously reduce unplanned downtime and equipment failure on a mechanical point of view.

Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance requirements as per the Maintenance manual,
the Plant Quality Systems and requirements ensuring manufacturing capacity is available to
meet production requirements.
•Manage spending, develop annual budgets and seek improvement in efficiency and results.
•Manage capital installation projects; plan and execute projects involved with repair and capital
installation.
•Develop work standards involving safety and quality for both internal and external personnel,
ensuring compliance to standards and taking corrective action when necessary.
•Participate actively in the Plant Safety committee meetings and champion for compliance
programs as assigned. Participate in the Organization Efficiency implementation team
meetings.
•Plan, schedule and execute maintenance programs to protect company assets, comply with
safety and quality requirements in support of cost and service objectives.
•Develop asset care and improvement programs using internal and external resources, ensuring
compliance with equipment and system design and specification standards
•Set targets and plan actions for continuous improvement in plant reliability and operating
results.
•Develop training programs for maintenance and production personnel. Coach and train
technical personnel on maintenance thus supporting plant operations effectively.
•Develop budgets for department, manage maintenance spending, and constantly seek to reduce
costs.

Requirements
•Bachelor of Science in Engineering
•5 years working experience in a Food Manufacturing Plant
•Experience working as a Maintenance Supervisor is added advantage
•Product, process and packaging expertise; knowledge of plant systems and equipment
•Sound understanding of maintenance management function
•Staff management skills
