Duration: 1 Year Renewable Contract
SAO Kenya is a registered non-profit community oriented development organization with over seventeen years experience in Kenya.
The organization is a key player in community development initiatives targeting to support interventions that will reduce child suffering and alleviate poverty through Integrated Community Development Programme (ICDP).
In partnership with the Baptist World Aid, Australia, BWAA, SAO-K wishes to recruit a suitable Professional to fill the position of Interim Country Director reporting to the Project Officer, Baptist World Aid Australia, BWAA, in charge of Africa.

Key tasks of this role:
- Perform secretariat role to the SAO Kenya board
- Develop organisational strategies and oversee the implementation of these strategies
- Ensure financial management systems are in place and working effectively including budgeting and accountability
- Oversee project design, implementation and monitoring
- Ensure that staff have the capacity and resources to implement programs effectively
- Ensure the implementation of the SAO Kenya organisational strengthening program

For this position, we are looking for a mature professional with the following educational/professional background:

- Be a holder of a masters degree in Management from a recognized institution of higher learning
- Be a holder of a first degree in Social Sciences from a recognized institution of higher learning
- Must be a holder of a CPS(K) or ICSA certificate
- Be a holder of a Project/ Programme management certification
- Must possess at least 5 years experience in a Senior Management and administration position within an INGO set up with a clear understanding of Financial Planning and management.
