Our East Africa Practice comprises Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. There are 16 Partners and over 400 professional staff who provide a full range of services to organisations in the region. KPMG East Africa has considerable experience in audit and risk advisory, tax and financial advisory services.

The Nairobi office serves as the regional coordinating office providing the required networking to facilitate delivery of services on a timely basis to meet the expectations of our clients.

KPMG‘s Information Technology Advisory (ITA) practice is an area of the firm with tremendous growth potential. It provides seven core services:
  • IT Strategy & Performance
  • ERP Advisory
  • IT Project Advisory
  • IT Sourcing
  • IRM in the External Audit
  • IT Internal Audit
  • IT Attestation
We are seeking exceptional professionals for the positions of IT Advisors.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the ITA Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Client liaison at a functional level;
  • Performing IT risk assessments, identifying issues and developing effective practical solutions to our clients;
  • Identifying weaknesses/problem areas and develop effective corrective action plans;
  • Being the ground lead for requirements definition, systems selection and implementation
  • Performing data analysis using a CAATs tool
  • Preparing reports and discussing at functional level;
  • Training and mentoring junior staff; and
  • Ad hoc projects and research assignments.
Your qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Commerce or equivalent with professional qualifications in either CPA, ACCA, CISSP, CISA or CIA;
  • Minimum of 2 years IT audits and / or systems selection and implementation;
  • Proven communication, interpersonal skills at the highest level;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Well developed fact finding and problem solving abilities;
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with individuals at all levels;
  • Ability to adapt methodologies and techniques to unique circumstances;
  • Willingness to think ‘outside the box’; and
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Working experience of ITIL, Oracle, SAP, T24, Flexcube would be an added advantage.
