Job Summary
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager the Internal Auditor will review and assess the existence and effectiveness of internal controls, reliability and integrity of financial & operational information, compliance to the organizations policies, instructions & guidelines, as well as local laws, control over and efficient use of company resources & assets through formal audits of the organizations units.
Responsibilities
* Conduct audits of assigned chapter highlighting areas which assist the organization in improving the existence and effectiveness of internal controls, reliability and integrity of financial & operational information, compliance to policies & guidelines, as well as local laws, and efficient use of company resources & assets.
* Manage stakeholders through involvement during the audit planning stage considering concerns on timing and audit scope, provide feedback on audit results and getting commitment on action plans to address the improvement areas identified.
* Assist Team Leader Auditor to perform risk based audit planning through review of different sources of information.
* Audit Chapter completion in every audit mission, keeping Audit Team Leader informed on the audit progress.
* Document audit work clearly supporting the conclusions reached in the audits performed.
Requirements
* Degree in Commerce (or similar), majoring in Accounting with a professional qualification such as CIA/CPA/CFA.
* Over 5 years of audit experience in an FMCG.
* Sound understanding of Internal Audit theory and local Governance/Legal/Compliance framework.
* Cross-functional knowledge of processes and internal controls.
* Working Knowledge of Audit Tools.
* Proficiency in French or Portuguese.
* Developed communication skills
* Desire and commitment to travel.
