Job Title:
Finance Manager
Reports To: Divisional Financial Manager

Job Purpose/Key Functional Outputs:
Overall country responsible for overseeing and implementation of financial controls, forecasting, cash flow management,

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  1.  Overall strategic and operational financial management;
  2.  Overseeing the full accounting function;
  3.  Preparation of annual financial statements;
  4.  Profitability analysis; including provision of financial information for decision making,
  5.  Overseeing the implementation of appropriate financial and management accounting systems and plans for the country, by introducing appropriate financial and accounting systems, processes, policies and controls;
  6.  Ensuring that monthly financial information is communicated effectively to stakeholders.
  7.  Monitoring cash flow in each country and ensuring that monthly reporting to head office is undertaken
  8.  Interact with the tax authorities of the country
  9.  Request funding from head office based on cash flow estimates
  10.  Reconciliation of financial accounts including bank and clearing accounts.
  11.  Reconcile transactions between an independent debtors system and the accounting system
  12.  Prepare cashbooks and petty cash information accurately and ensure they are submitted in a timely basis to head office.
  13.  Process transactions on in-house accounting system.
  14.  Coordinate and complete annual country budgets and monthly forecasts for the various branches within the country as well as country operations.
  15.  Calculate, complete and submit all necessary forms relating to provisional tax, income tax and withholding tax.
  16.  Calculate and submit all necessary forms relating to VAT.
  17.  Ensure all payments are made in a timely fashion.
  18.  Interaction with external auditors
  19.  Ensure audits are completed within group audit timeliness.

Minimum Required Qualification / Experience

  •  A qualified Accountant with a recognized B Com (Hons) / B Comp accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
  •  At least 5 years in finance and Administration management experience in an IT environment.
