Jobs Description


The job holder shall be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial
information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Job Details

1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


·                     Analyzing & managing internal and external financial accounts.

·                     Monitoring & forecasting cash flow and budget activities.

·                     Managing and monitoring VAT and income tax issues.

·                     Pricing and profitability planning.

·                     Conducting Operational Audits.

·                     Credit management.

·                     General Ledger & Sub Ledger reconciliation.

·                     Analyzing and resolving monthly and year end accruals.

·                     Managing staff induction and training in to the accounts department.

·                     General coordination of the operations in the department.

·                     Quarterly accounts preparation.

·                     Financial coordination of all the running projects.

2. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

a) Education

·                     Full accounting qualification with CPA (K) & ACCA.

·                     A Business Management degree or its equivalent.

·                     Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

·                     Knowledge of IFR, IAS & Companies Act.

·                     Knowledge of Applicable Tax Laws.

·                     Computerized accounting and MS office suite.

·                     A minimum of 3 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.

·                     Attention to detail and accuracy.

·                     Good planning and organizing Skills.

·                     Strong communication skills.

·                     Good information and task monitoring skills.

·                     Problem analysis, good judgment and problem-solving skills
