Business Development Manager Job. Salary 100,000+

Our client is an established dealer of electronic goods and associated equipment based in Nairobi. The product range in the shop includes computers and computer accessories, telecommunications equipment, gadgets, electronics and security equipment e.g. CCTV.

We are seeking applications to fill the position of Business Development Manager, with a salary range between Kshs.100,000/= and 110,000/= depending on demonstrated skills and experience.

The role-holder’s duties and responsibilities include the following:
* Developing and implementing of the shop’s annual business development plans to meet the shop’s sales and profitability targets
* Develop new business opportunities and maximize business opportunities with existing clients
* Pro-actively hunt for target clients and establish communication and relationships with those businesses that can benefit from the shop’s products and services.
* Develop and manage marketing and communication tools for existing and new clients
* Manage key account clients and ensure excellent client relationship management
* Procurement of stock from local and international sources
* Appropriate financial management of the shop’s financial resources including budgeting, management of cash flow, banking etc
* Provide detailed analysis of price and cost models for products to determine resale prices
* Performance analysis and reporting of the shop’s performance
* Advise business owners of business opportunities and ways of expanding the product offerings

Minimum Criteria
* Bachelor Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
* Excellent hands on knowledge and demonstrable passion for electronics and ICT equipment
* At least 5 years, preferably with sales and business development experience in the electronics, ICT or related industry
* Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for overall performance of the shop as well as all other activities in the store including sales performance, customer service, cash monitoring, health and safety compliance, stock control.
* A pro-active self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team
* Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong customer focus with ability to manage client relationships and resolve technical queries and complaints
* High commercial acumen and self confidence
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills to keep track of the shop’s financials
* Good organization and coordination skills
* Attention to detail and strong problem solving ability
* Willingness to work for 6 days in a week i.e. from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 7pm
