Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Chief Conservation Officer Job Vacancy in Isiolo Kenya

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, based in Isiolo Kenya, is a non-profit organization which works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.

We are looking for a high calibre, self-driven and experienced Chief Conservation Officer, with a commitment to excellence to lead our Wildlife and Security Department.

Ref: Chief Conservation Officer (CCO)

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for wildlife conservation, security, research & monitoring, and the community programmes of the LWC, with a particular emphasis on wildlife management and security.

Requirements

    * Possess a minimum of 10 years senior management experience in wildlife management and wildlife security.
    * Demonstrated leadership skills.
    * Holder of a private pilot’s licence with five years bush flying experience (Super Cub experience essential).

Gatundu South Water and Sanitation Company Ltd is an agent of Athi Water Services Board mandated with providing water services within Gatundu South District and surrounding environs of Gatundu North and Githunguri Districts (here after referred to as ‘service area’).

The Board of Directors of the Company comprises of stakeholders identified by Athi Water Services Board as prescribed in the Corporate Governance Guidelines issued by the Water Services Regulatory Board.

The Board of the Company has vacancies for representatives of the following stakeholders:
·         One director representing the Business Community to be nominated by a reputable organization within the Company’s service area
·         One director representing the learning institutions to be nominated by a reputable Institution within the Company’s service area
·         One director representing women to be nominated by a reputable Women Organization within the Company’s service area

This is therefore to invite applications from nominees of the above stakeholders. The applicants must meet the following criteria:
·         Have a nomination letter from a reputable institution or organization within the company’s service areas as stated above.
·         Be Literate and numerate to at least O level.
·         Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession of at least 7 years.
·         Demonstrate participation in local development initiatives.
·         Have experience as change management agent.
·         Suppliers or other trading associates of the company cannot become directors of the company.
