As part of strengthening the operations of Youth Alive! Kenya we seek to recruit a suitable young person to join our impressive team of professionals as a Project Assistant-Counseling.
Working under the direct supervision of the Programme Officer, Health the position entails supporting the direct implementation of project activities specifically counseling within 6 target institutions in Nairobi and Kiambu Districts.
The engagement is for an initial two months with possibility of extension.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    * Spearhead the provision of counseling services to children within the project
    * Support the implementation of all direct activities within the institution with a special emphasis on provision of health and life skills education within the partner institution

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Somalia/Kenya is a two Country Program with four field offices in Dadaab (Kenya), Hargeisa (Somaliland), Bossaso (Puntland) and Mogadishu (South Central). NRC has been present in Somaliland since early 2004 and expanded to Puntland in 2006, Mogadishu and Dadaab in 2007.

NRC is seeking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions for its Dadaab Program:

Position Vacant: Project Officer – Environment and Livelihoods
Reporting to: Project Manager –Environment and Livelihoods
Duty station: Dadaab-Kenya, with extensive travel to the Project Sites

Main Responsibilities include:
    * Support the development, implementation and monitoring of the Environment and Livelihoods sector activities.
    * Manage food supply project activities at the three centres in refugee camps with the support of Project Assistants.
